Vision & Mission

“Ghaia” means home in the local language Guitonga. This reflects our commitment to providing safe and durable housing for women.

Our Vision

Is to empower women in Mozambique with access to safe and durable housing.

Strategy:

Our vision is to create a durable impact, a future of security, independence and improved lives by providing women with the foundation of secure housing, which will serve as a stepping stone for economic independence. This strategy will be achieved through local labor, creating sustainable job opportunities, and strengthen community resilience for long-term growth.

Tactics:

Housing Projects: Construct 5-10 homes per year over the next 5 years, for a total of 25-50 homes, ensuring quality and long term stability.

Local Employment: Employ local labor for construction, providing steady jobs and contributing to the community’s economic stability.

Community Resilience: Promote long term stability and growth by investing in infrastructure and creating job opportunities for women and the broader community.

We want to create a future where all women in Mozambique have access to safe and durable housing, providing them with security, independence, and the opportunity to improve their lives and their children’s quality of life. At the same time, we strive to create a society where animal welfare is a priority, and all pets in resource-limited areas have access to necessary vaccinations and spaying/neutering to prevent spread of diseases and overpopulation. Through our efforts, we aim to inspire, educate and showing that together we can promote community development and make an impact for both people and animals.

Our Mission

Is to build safe homes for women in Linga Linga to foster independence.

Strategy:

Our mission is to deliver secure housing for women fostering self resilience and contribute to broader community development by addressing local needs. This approach will ensure the well-being of individuals and their environment, creating lasting, positive impact. This strategy focuses on scalable solutions, with a strong emphasis on long-term impact and measurable results.

Tactics:

Housing Construction: Build 25-50 homes within the next 3-5 years, improving the living conditions of women in the community and setting a blueprint for expansion into other underserved areas.

Community Engagement: Work with local leaders to ensure the correct identification and support of women in need of housing, based on their access to critical local data and prioritizing single mothers..

Monitoring & Reporting: Establish a transparent monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress of both housing projects and animal welfare initiatives, ensuring transparency and measurable results

We’re on a mission to empower women in Mozambique, particularly in the village of Linga Linga, by providing them with access to safe and durable housing. There are currently 87 single women in need of secure and durable homes in this community. Through our mission we can foster their independence and improve their overall well-being.

Additionally, we organize annual vaccination programs in collaboration with the local agriculture authority, ensuring that an Animal Health Technician can visit the village. Through these initiatives, we strive to inspire positive change, foster community development, and prevent the spread of diseases.
