Ghaia’s Story

“Ghaia” means home in the local language Guitonga. This reflects our commitment to providing safe and sustainable housing for single women.

Our Vision

Is to create a future where all single women in Mozambique have access to safe and sustainable housing, providing them with security, independence, and the opportunity to improve their lives and their children’s quality of life. At the same time, we strive to create a society where animal welfare is a priority, and all pets in resource-limited areas have access to necessary vaccinations and spaying/neutering to prevent spread of diseases and overpopulation. Through our efforts, we aim to inspire, educate and showing that together we can make an impact, promote community development, and create more just and sustainable world for both people and animals.

Our Mission

Is to empower single women in Mozambique, particularly in the village of Linga Linga, by providing them with access to safe and sustainable housing, fostering their independence and improving their overall well-being. Currently, there are 87 single women in need of secure and sustainable homes in this community.

Additionally, we organize annual vaccination programs in collaboration with the local agriculture authority, ensuring that an Animal Health Technician can visit the village instead of the other way around. Through these initiatives, we strive to inspire positive change, foster community development, and contribute to the creation of a fairer and more sustainable world for both humans and animals.
